Isaac Kyeki, 60, was sentenced to seven years in jail by the Kasoa Ofaakor Circuit Court, presided over by his Honor Oheneba Antwi Boasiako, for defiling his twelve-year-old granddaughter at Awutu Ofakor UN city.
The inmate is claimed to have dispatched the victim to purchase him a banana, and while she was giving it over to him in his room, he threw her onto his mat, forced her to remove her dress, and had intercourse with her.
The defendant admitted in court to defiling the girl five times but urged her not to tell anyone.
In his decision, the Judge stated that the defendant made the court's job easier by confessing he did the crime.
The criminal has started serving his seven-year term at Ankaful Prisons.
