In a daytime robbery incident on a bullion at Ablekuma Fanmilk in Accra, a police officer was slain.
In videos of the incident, bystanders are seen removing the dead policeman from a pick-up vehicle.
According to his name tag, the policeman was just known as Amoah.
According to reports, the truck with the license plate GT 1254-10 was attacked shortly after it allegedly stopped at the gas station to buy petrol.
However, the truck's driver escaped unharmed.
The gang of robbers who ambushed the bullion van and killed its officer is reportedly being sought by the Ghana Police Service, which says it is on the hunt for them.

The police are searching for a group of four robbers after they ambushed a bullion truck in the Accra suburb of Ablekuma Fanmilk and shot the police escort, who sadly died.
In particular, the family of our departed coworker and all Police Service employees generally are in our prayers and thoughts.
We want to reassure the public that the robbers will be apprehended and brought to justice.
