A second-year student at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) was stabbed to death in Kronum-Kwapra, an Ashanti region suburb of Kumasi.
Lambent Frimpong, 24, died tragically on Saturday, July 5, 2023, in a brawl over a misplaced T-shirt.
The deceased was suspected of stealing the garment, which he denied; however, a misunderstanding resulted in a brawl over the missing T-shirt, in which the young man was stabbed with a knife.
Despite an immediate attempt to save his life while he was bleeding, he was certified dead after being brought to the hospital.
Since then, the remains has been preserved at the Komfo Anokye Mortuary.
Meanwhile, the police have launched an inquiry into the case and are looking for the suspect, who is also a KNUST student.
The sad occurrence has left the Kwapra community in mourning.
