DC TO DEPLOY ABOUT 500 SECURITY FORCES FOR NATIONAL YOUTH AND WOMEN CONFERENCE

For the National Women and Youth Conference of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), approximately 500 police officers are anticipated to be deployed.

The conference will take place on Saturday, December 10, 2022, in the Central Region, and will oversee the election of National Women and Youth Organisers as part of restructuring for the election 2024.

This comes before the National Delegates Congress, which will elect national executives on December 17, 2022.

For the position of Youth Organiser, incumbent George Opare Addo will compete against Brogya Genfi, while for the position of Women's Organiser, outgoing Hanna Bissiw will fight Margaret Ansei.

Party delegates have been advised to act appropriately in light of this.

The conference will take place at the New Examination Center at the University of Cape Coast, according to Chief Mike Derry, the Central Regional Organiser, who spoke with Adom News (UCC).

He claims that the police force will be made up of both uniformed and plainclothes security officers who will uphold the law.

He has guaranteed that all attendees will have good lodging and food because the organizers have made sufficient arrangements.

Except for Oti, Savannah, and Northern Regions, who, in his estimation, were traveling from Kumasi to Cape Coast, almost all of the delegates have arrived.

For her part, Gabriella Tetteh, the regional communications officer, urged delegates to choose qualified candidates in order to energize voters ahead of the 2024 elections and help the NDC win.

She thinks all of the candidates who have declared themselves for election are qualified and trustworthy enough to be chosen for the party's youth and women wings.

Ludwig Hlordzi, a former National Youth Organiser who also served on the national organizing committee, expressed his admiration for the local organizing committee's efforts.

He stated that plans have been made for lodging and other logistics and expressed the hope that the program will go as planned, beginning at 9 am and ending at 5 pm.
