The murderer of well-known Cape Coast-based Dancehall artist "Unruly Grank" was condemned to "death by hanging" on Friday, January 20, 2023, by the Cape Coast High Court "A" presided over by His Lordship Emmanuel Lodoh.
A music dispute is said to have led to the accused, Bright Ellis, also known as "Shadow," stabbing the aspiring Dancehall Artist.
On February 7, 2021, around 15:00 GMT, the deceased artist Emmanuel Aikins, 24, passed away suddenly at the Orange Beach Resort in Cape Coast, in the Central Region.
After the decision, the mother of the late artist Okuapeman, Madam Kate Swanzy, expressed her delight over what she called a just decision in an interview with Kasapa News Yaw Boagyan.
She asked Ghanaians to always be patient when it comes to legal proceedings so that accurate conclusions could be reached and justice would be done.
