Man beaten to death for stabbing Okada Rider

A guy has been lynched after being suspected of killing a fellow "okada" rider at Asiri in the Jaman North District of the Bono Region.

The suspect hired the 'okada' rider to take him to a nearby town, according to the information so far, but while on the way, he stabbed the rider and fled on his motorcycle.

When a cyclist traveling in the opposite direction saw the incident, they alerted a community information center.

The suspect was apprehended by the young man, who then gave him a good bashing before the district police commander came to his rescue.

But before the angry kid pulled the suspect back, the commander met a similar fate and his Toyota Corolla was vandalized.

The suspect was led into the office of the local assemblyman, where he vehemently denied any culpability.

The suspect fled into the bushes as efforts were being made to verify his story, but he was quickly apprehended.

Charles Okyere Bediako, an assemblyman for Jaman North, claimed the locals killed the suspect by stabbing him numerous times after throwing stones at him.
