An Accra Circuit Court has jailed a factory worker to 180 days in prison for touching a 10-year-old girl's breast and requesting her to suck his genitalia.
This came after the court determined that Emmanuel Mbachu had violated sexual assault laws.
Mbachu, who is 26 years old, was found not guilty of the defilement allegation and released.
The complainant, according to the prosecution, is an Accra businessman who lives at Palladium under the direction of Superintendent of Police Agnes Boafo.

The victim and the accused, who has since been found guilty, share a home in Korle-Gonno.
The complainant, who is the victim's uncle, visited the victim's father at Korle-Gonno on January 29, 2023, at around 10:00am, but neither he nor the victim were present when he arrived.
According to the prosecution, the victim's father called the complainant while he was still waiting and requested him to check on the victim.
When the complainant asked several nearby kids whether they had seen the victim, they reportedly replied they had seen her enter Mbachu's room.
According to the report, the complainant went and banged on Mbachu's door after that but received no response.
According to the prosecution, Mbachu answered the door after the complainant knocked twice.
According to the report, Mbachu hurriedly brought the victim after the complainant asked him if he had seen the victim.
The victim claimed that Mbachu had fondled her breast and requested her to suck his genitalia when she was questioned about what she was doing in his room, according to the prosecution.
The Domestic Violence and Victim's Support Unit in Mamprobi was contacted after the complainant reported the incident to the Police at Korle-Bu.
