Woman who claims to have ability to walk on water arrested

Sayyada Fanta Sangaré, a Guinean woman, was detained after she gained notoriety for offering prayers on a body of water in the Western province.

She is alleged to have gone to the sea and, as beachgoers marveled, dropped a prayer mat on the water's surface while standing on it to pray. Fans said she has paranormal abilities that allowed her to pray on water while defying gravity.

Fanta was found to have set her prayer mat down on a piece of wood in the shallow sea.

Fanta spoke up in defense of herself, saying, "This is not a big matter to her because she and the water are all slaves of Allah, and as long as a man will fear Allah and obey Allah and his prophet and pray for Allah and His prophet and pray for him, Allah may do all He obeyed him even water and fire?

Africanguinee claims that Fanta was detained by Taouyah special police on June 22, 2023, a Thursday. Police officers who detained the woman later emphasized that her crime had nothing to do with her offering a prayer to the waves.

"Her behavior is not unlawful. A top police official was cited as stating, "Why arrest her for that?

She is there (in the police station), of course, but that is for another problem, the officer said. A citizen has filed a complaint against her. According to Africaguinee, investigations showed that someone had complained about Fanta, but police withheld the specifics of the complaint.
