Well love is something we can't do away with. This is why is important to know the tread of love we have for one another. This will help u to identify the kind the fellow do have for you.
Lets look at the types of love we do have ;
1.Philautia (Self Love)
This is the kind of love one do have for themselves. How they feel about their own body and minds. Infact is important to appreciate yourself first before loving someone.
This kind of love is important in each and everyone life. Its good to love yourself and appreciate who you are.
2. Storge (Mother to child love)
is a naturally occurring love rooted in parents and children, as well as best friends. It’s an infinite love built upon acceptance and deep emotional connection. This love comes easily and immediately in parent and child relationships.
Infact this love is said to be so deep. And not only humans but animals also expresses it. This is why a hen will chase you when u try to catch its chicks or a lion will eat you up when u try to catch the young ones. Many animals expresses this when they give birth dogs, cat etc...
3. Ludus (playful love)
is a child-like and flirtatious love commonly found in the beginning stages of a relationship (a.k.a. the honeymoon stage thus after marriage ). This type of love consists of teasing, playful motives and laughter between two people.
So people In this kind of love are just friends with benefits.
People who are looking for ludus love can play with your heart. For them they don't need committed relationship. They want you guys to play together on everything . Even if sex is involve all is for fun or just a gift. No strings attached.
4. Mania (Obsessive Love): Mania is excessive love that reaches the point of madness. The person is killing you,abusing you etc yet you still love them. They don't give back the love you give them. You feel cheat, insulted, jealous, used etc.. yet u ar not ready to leave. U still love them just as they are.
5. Eros (Romantic love): It’s a passionate love displayed through physical affection. These includes kissing, hugging,sex and holding hands. This love is a desire for another person’s physical body.
So this kind of love is centered more on sex and romance. Those who want sex only in the relationship centered themselves on this kind of love .
6. Pragma: is a unique bonded love that matures over many years. It’s an everlasting love between a couple that chooses to put equal effort into their relationship. Commitment and dedication are required to reach “Pragma.” Instead of “falling in love,” you are “standing in love” with the partner you want by your side indefinitely. You do things as a wife no matter the good or bad your partner do , so to the men. This one you don't do things by how you feel, but u do it because you are suppose to do it. You careless what your partner will do , u just do what's expected of you. They can cheat , mess up do what ever nothing changes your mind about what u need to do for them. And this love is above sex and romance. For example; you value your marriage than what your partner will do.
7. Agape — Selfless Love ( Unconditional love)
This is the kind of love God have for us. You love people because of the way they are and how they will be. This love is not centered on anything.
And is beautiful when partners do have such love for one another.
8. Philia (Brotherly love):
is love without romantic attraction and occurs between friends or family members. It occurs when both people share the same values and respect each other — it’s commonly referred to as “brotherly love.”
