50-year-old woman poisons funeral attendants with her self-manufactured drugs

On Sunday, May 14, 2023, about 25 persons who consumed food at the burial in Agou at Nkwanta South in the Oti Region were admitted to the hospital for treatment of food poisoning.

A 50-year-old lady who assisted in the cooking for the burial rites reportedly utilized the food to test her claimed poisonous medications.

She claimed that she was interested in learning if the medicine was lethal or not.

People started throwing up crimson stuff after eating a variety of delicacies during the funeral, which is when the incident was found.

In order to see if the scenario has any spiritual support, the organizers called a clergyman.

After the prayers, the 50-year-old woman admitted that she was the one who started the accident by testing her alleged poison with the food.

The elderly woman reportedly wanted to know whether the poison she had made might kill or not, according to a reporter for Angel FM.

A hospital reported receiving several patients.

25 of them are now in critical condition, according to a follow-up, while medical personnel work together to save their lives.

According to the story, the police have detained the woman.
