At Yellow Container, a Kasoa suburb in the Awutu Senya East Municipality of the Central Region, 12-year-old Kofi Richard was electrocuted.
Witness statements indicate that the incident happened on Monday night around 9:00 p.m. behind the little boy's home.
The victim's parents heard a frightened cry for aid coming from the back of the home and immediately hurried there to discover their baby son dead.
As soon as they arrived, the police transported the dead body to the mortuary for additional investigation.
Investigations are still ongoing to learn more about the electrocution's circumstances.
