A lecturer was reportedly the victim of another crime that happened Thursday afternoon in Legon close to the ECG office.
Several stories claim that the thieves cut the lecturer with a cutlass before stealing his bag, which included his laptop, phones, and vital papers.
The lecturer had to be sent to the hospital right away for treatment after discovering that his hand was bleeding. This occurrence, which is unsettling, shows why there has to be more security in the neighborhood. Being subjected to such violence and thievery against members of the academic community is unacceptable.
This intensifies the already prevalent cases in Legon and the surrounding area, escalating anxiety among the students.
Only a few days ago, a female student was robbed of her stuff and had her face and arms slashed.
The pupils' confidence in the school's security and its status as a safe haven is being eroded by the prevalence of such acts.
